Friend Gifts - For Her

A friend asked me to research and give some ideas on what to get your girlfriends for Christmas.

I'm all about "It's not how much it costs, it's the thought that counts".  Here are some things I came up with:

Pretty much anything from Bath and Body Works.  They run some amazing deals so you can stock up on soaps, or lotions and give them as gifts any time of the year. Right now for Cyber Monday you can use the code  F102785 and score $10 off a $10 purchase.  Shipping is a flat $5.99 all day today. These are $10.50 each, but are currently on sale buy 3 get 3 free making them $5.25 each!
(Bath and Body Works seems to always have some kind of promotion going on)

Another no-brainier is any Victoria Secret lotion. These are also frequently on sale so you can stock up.  And they are great Birthday and Thank you gifts as well. These are usually $9 a bottle with no sales or discounts.  So if you can find some good deals, you could score some amazing gifts!

In UT Larry H. Miller Mexaplex Theathers sell refillable movie mugs for $12 each. You can refill them for just $1.00 at any theater.  CLICK HERE for the "Double Mug" package.  Which includes a Large Popcorn voucher, 2 refillable mugs and 2 vouchers for a free refill for $24 total. (Again, each mug sells for $12 alone so this is a great deal) You could even split the deal up and give parts to different people! I really like this idea because it is something that I would not buy for myself, but I would love to own one.
Fuzzy Socks are an inexpensive gift that any girl would love. Walgreens has them on sale this week 3/$10. Maybe pair it with her favorite container of Hot Chocolate? Or some one-size fits all yarn gloves that we all seem to loose over the season.

A gift card for a pedicure or manicure is always nice, but they can be expensive.  Did you see THIS post I put up about the current deal on JamBerry nails?  Or you could purchase an inexpensive bottle of nail polish (Walgreens often has them for .99), a file and a nail clipper in a cute little bag.

A simple card with a note good for a lunch get together or a trip to the mall written inside it would be a very thoughtful gift.

Crocheted beanies and head bands are very popular.  (I've been trying to find a deal on one EVERYWHERE!) Or what about a nice scarf?

Scentsy warmers and refills are also popular right now.

If you know someone that likes to garden, you might want to check out the Garden Center at your local store.  Chances are there are quite a few things on clearance that you could give a friend in a gift basket for Christmas.  A pair of work gloves, new garden hand tools, Miracle Grow, padded knee pad....

Personalized Vinyl lettering gifts are a great idea.  They can be found all over Esty, or if you know someone with a Cricut you could have them cut your vinyl for you.
For the working woman, a Starbucks gift card, or a gift card to a local restaurant or local deli. I know "Cupcake" stores are really popular and probably not something that they would purchase on their own.

A baking mix from a local bakery or mill.

A Christmas ornament that you made, or that you picked out that reminded you of her.

Home made cards, art work or scrapbook pages were among popular gifts in my research.

Etching their name in the bottom of a glass cake or casserole dish.  Arrange to take their old ones while they are not home and then return them etched.....or You could buy a new one and you could even bake a cake and deliver their new cake pan with a cake in it!  How cute it this idea? (Thanks Katie)  I've been meaning to do this on my own.  I will do it this week and post a "How to" for those of you that want to do this, so keep checking back!

Most importantly is the idea that you remembered her.  A simple card just because, a small plate of cookies or treats, a can of her favorite soda with her favorite candy bar or even a phone call will mean the world to her.
