We've received a gift yesterday that had THE most creative packaging I have ever seen! Here it is:

Yes, that is a Pringles can. They put homemade cookies inside a used Pringles can! So creative!
I have analyzed this (so I can do it in the future) and here is how they did it:

1. Modge podge scrapbook paper on the can. You could use wrapping paper too. I think the scrapbook cardstock looks more professional (IMO).
2. Cut a circle out of cardstock the same size as the top of the lid and glue it on with sticky dots. Finish the lid by attaching a ribbon around the edge.
3. Then attach a cute ribbon handle by punching 2 small holes in the sides of the can, thread a ribbon through and tie a knot on the inside of the can on both sides.
Fill with cookies and deliver!
Also, we got this tag from another family:
They used a photo card (I posted one from Kodak and one from Seehere a few weeks ago) and turned it into a present tag. What a great idea! You could even make them general enough to use for a few years no matter what the gift is that you decide to give.
Very cute ideas!
