DIY Thrifty Thursday #7

Wow, I can't believe it's already Thursday!  My kids had Monday off of school for a "Snow Day".  That means that here in UT we account for the potential of a day where we would have to close the school because of excess snow.  Well, we didn't get much snow in the valleys this year, we didn't close any of the schools, so we were kind of "rewarded" with a day off of school.  I know, it's crazy.  Why they don't just tack an extra day onto Spring Break is beyond me.  oh well.

Here are a few projects that inspired me from last week:

Creative Collage's DIY closet
Choose to Thrive Brass fixtures makeover
The Tattered Tag Reclaimed Coffee Container
Kiki Creates Luck Bracelets
Live Green Love Much dress up station

OPINIONS NEEDED! One more thing before we "get this party started".  I'm in the market for a digital cutter.  I'm going between a Cricut Expressions and a Silhouette SD.  PLEASE leave a comment below with what you think is the better option.  It would be for paper and vinyl.  I'm leaning toward the Cricut right now due to availability of accessories at my local craft stores, size of images and software.  What do you think?  Any comments are GREATLY appreciated. :)

Okay....now on to the party!
  1. Link up your awesome DIY projects.  Home improvement, crafts, recipes, jewlery, scrapbook....the sky is the limit.
  2. Help spread the word about DIY Thrifty Thursday's so we can get more entries and browse more amazing projects!  Here is a button you can use, or link back to this party....thanks! :)

  1. I don't have either one...BUT I've thought about it a lot! I've decided on the Silhouette for this one reason- the cost of Cricut cartridges are a whole lot of $! I LOVE that I can use my computer, it's hooked to Silhouette and it's just like a printer. And it can do fabric, I know, I'm like you and paper and vinyl would be what I use mostly. Good luck!

  2. Leda....FIY there is a code through House of Hepworths. When you go to the Silhouette website add a machine to your cart then use code HoH4ever and you can get a whole bundle pack for $225.
