Utah Saves Week starts this week!

Next Week in "Utah Saves Week"....yes, we have a Utah Saves Week....who knew? :)

Imagine a Happier You, Deseret Media and Zions Bank are hosting a bunch of FREE events next week.  High on my list is the FREE Dave Ramsey cash flow planning lessons that are held at different locations across the Wasatch Front multiple days this week.  Check the link above for times and locations.

On the IAHY website you can participate in a daily financial challenge, here is that schedule:

• Tuesday, Feb 22 - Order your credit report at www.annualcreditreport.com.
• Wednesday, Feb 23 - Become a Utah Saver at www.utahsaves.org and open a savings account or add to an existing account.
• Thursday, Feb 24 - Sign up for a free budgeting class.  If you participate in the Zions Bank 30 minute budgeting webinar at noon you could win a $200 saving account.  Visit blog.zionsbank.com for more details.
• Friday, Feb 25 - Write down every single thing you spend money on today and report your most surprising expense.
• Weekend, Feb 26-27 - Hold a financial discussion with your family and set a financial goal. 
• Monday, Feb 28 - Continue your positive financial behavior and bookmark a new financial website called www.believeinyourfuture.org.

If you go HERE and report your findings after you participate, you will be entered into a drawing for some incredible prizes!

I participated in this Financial Challenge last week as one of their "trial run" participants.  It is a great motivating, thought provoking program to get you started on your savings plan and bettering your finances.  I would recommend it to everyone!
