If at first you don't succeed....

Try try again.......

 SUCCESS!!!
After my last...um...miscalculation, ha ha I decided to try again with my "Bean Ball" project.  I'm so happy I did, I ♥ them!

All 5 balls took me an hour and a half total.  Funny thing is after I finished them I put them next to the XL ones I did last time and I can't believe I spend so long making the large ones!

This time around I did:
  • Black Beans,
  • Small Red Beans,
  • Pinto Beans,
  • Pinto Beans spray painted with "Almond" color spray paint
  • split peas.
I went through 2 1/2 gluesticks and only burnt myself once. ;)
Total Thrifty cost: $3.50 for the Styrofoam balls.  I had the beans and gluesticks.  I did buy a package of Split Peas, who actually eats them anyways?!  ha ha they were $0.72 at Walmart.

This 3" size was much more doable then the other size I tried.  I might actually make a few more!

I'm partying here:

    14. I love the decor balls and have been meaning to make some bean balls for quite a while now. I was thinking of spray painting them various colors to go with my interior-and to use for different holidays.

    15. So people eat split peas?? For what? ;) I love the bean-balls. Ha! That's a great name. The dark brown one is my fav, but I have a love for the pinto beans as well! Great job! And THANK YOU for linking up!

    17. They are not as time consuming as they look. I just put a strip of glue on the ball and glued beans until there was no glue left. Then made another glue strip and more beans...:)

    18. Oh, also for those of you wondering, I did NOT have the patients to glue the split peas on in neat rows...those things are TINY!! I covered a 2" X 2" section and stamped it in a bowl of split peas. Then made another 2 X 2 section to it and stamped it and repeated until the whole ball was covered.
